How to cancel a subscription on iPhone
Everything Apple bills you for is in one list on your iPhone, and canceling takes four steps. These are Apple's own steps, from its help pages.
Cancel on your iPhone
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down to find it.
No Cancel button, or an expiration message in red, means the subscription is already canceled.
On an iPad, a Mac, Windows or the web
- iPadThe same four steps as on an iPhone.
- MacOpen the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, click your name again, then Subscriptions.
- The webSign in at account.apple.com and open Subscriptions.
- WindowsOpen the Apple Music or Apple TV app, click your name, choose View My Account, then Manage next to Subscriptions.
- AndroidSign in at account.apple.com. If Google Play bills you for Apple Music or Apple TV, cancel in Google Play instead.
Free trials
Apple says to cancel a trial at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want it to renew.
If it is not in the list
- Another Apple AccountSearch your email for "receipt from Apple" or "invoice from Apple". The receipt names the Apple Account that pays, and you cancel signed in to that one.
- A family member'sOnly the person whose Apple Account is on the receipt can cancel it.
- No receipt from AppleAnother company bills you, not Apple. Your bank or card statement names it, and you cancel with that company.
- Your phone carrierA subscription that came with your phone plan is canceled with your carrier.
Asking for a refund
A refund is a separate request. Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, choose I'd like to, then Request a refund. Apple says to expect an update in 24 to 48 hours, and that what can be refunded varies by country.
